Past Events
Many of you have attended our past activities, such as:
- Annual Bragging Rights basketball game - Illinois vs. Missouri
- Sporting Event Watch Parties - basketball and football
- Meetings with speakers from the University
- Joint activities with the campus Department of Intercollegiate Athletics
(DIA), such as the annual Illini Night at Busch Stadium
- Scholarship fund raising events

Men's Basketball Game Watches
March Madness, Big 10 and NCAA Tournaments
Location - HotShots on Manchester
Between 50 and 60 Illini gathered to watch Illini games against Michigan,
Indiana, and in the stretch run in the tournament.

We had about 80 people gathered for the final basketball game vs. Kansas on
March 22! (see pictures below)

February 26, 2002, for the Indiana game
Location - Maggie O'Brien's
We had another good turnout to watch Illinois beat Indiana, despite the cold
weather. Approx 35 people got together, and half of them were not SLIC
members (yet).

January 26, 2002 - for the Indiana game
Location - St. Louis Sports Zone
We had about 25 people get together to watch Illinois vs. Indiana. The game
was ugly, but the company was great.

Location - St. Louis Sports Zone
Over 50 fellow SLIC members and their guests attended this event! Many
great ideas for game watches, non-sporting events, and community service
activities were shared. For those interested in serving an active role in
expanding SLIC presence in the metro area, we will be discussing ideas at an
upcoming meeting sometime in February. Stay tuned for more information on
the next meeting and other items. Keep those great ideas coming!
