Scholarships
The University of Illinois Alumni Association and the St. Louis Illini Club
are pleased to announce that they will award two $1,000 scholarships to
incoming freshmen attending the University of Illinois.
The 2002 competition was open to any graduating senior from the City of St.
Louis, St. Louis County or St. Charles County who will be attending the
University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana in the Fall of 2002. Applicants
were evaluated on the basis of academic success, leadership qualities,
involvement in extra-curricular activities and an essay. The scholarship
selection committee placed substantial weight on the essay in selecting
the scholarship winner. The one-time scholarship may be used to pay
tuition, fees or room and board.
